This surgical procedure reduces the prominence of your Adam’s apple. A very small incision is made under your chin. The incision is placed such that it is in a hidden location, away from where your Adam’s apple, or thyroid cartilage, is located. Dr. Costa uses this access incision to carefully tunnel to reach the cartilage. A safety technique is used to ensure that your vocal cords are protected the entire time. The cartilage is gradually reduced and scultped to a smaller, smoother flatter appearance.
