Orthognathic Surgery

Orthognathic Corrective Jaw Surgery involves moving the bones of the upper or lower jaw or both.

The jaws are lengthened or shortened, moved up or down, in or out, resulting in a more harmonious bite and facial appearance.

The timing of orthognathic surgery is such that it is done after completion of facial growth.

In females this is typically around 16 years of age and in males, 18 years of age.
